Student Counselor

Provide one-on-one counseling sessions for students dealing with academic stress, personal problems, family issues, peer pressure, bullying, emotional concerns, or other mental health challenges.
- Offer a safe, confidential space for students to express their concerns, feelings, and challenges.
- Work with students to develop coping strategies for managing stress, anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues.
- Conduct group counseling sessions on topics such as stress management, time management, study skills, social skills, peer relationships, and career development.
- Organize workshops and seminars for students on mental health, self-esteem, emotional intelligence, career guidance, and life skills.
- Lead anti-bullying initiatives and teach conflict resolution techniques to students.
- Assist students in identifying their strengths, weaknesses, and academic interests, helping them set realistic goals and work toward achieving them.
- Offer study skills and time management strategies to help students cope with academic pressures.
- Work with teachers to identify students who may need additional academic support and develop strategies to improve their performance.
- Respond to student crises, such as personal or family trauma, bullying, substance abuse, or suicidal ideation, in a sensitive and timely manner.
- Liaise with parents, teachers, and administrators to provide support and address serious concerns promptly.
- Facilitate conflict resolution between students, promoting healthy communication and reconciliation.
- Communicate regularly with teachers and parents to discuss students' emotional, social, and academic development.
- Provide insights into student behavior and progress during parent-teacher meetings and offer guidance on how parents can support their children.
- Organize parent workshops to help them understand adolescent behavior, mental health concerns, and ways to foster a supportive home environment.
- Promote mental health awareness throughout the school community, reducing stigma and creating an open dialogue about mental health issues.
- Provide information on coping mechanisms, mindfulness techniques, relaxation exercises, and other mental health practices.
- Advocate for a supportive school culture that prioritizes the emotional well-being of students.
- Identify students who may need specialized psychological support or therapy and refer them to external mental health professionals or agencies as required.
- Maintain a list of external counselors, therapists, and mental health resources for referral.
- Maintain confidential records of counseling sessions, student progress, and any interventions provided, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Prepare reports on student well-being and progress for teachers, parents, and school administration as needed.
- Document and track issues such as bullying, academic difficulties, and behavioral concerns, providing data to support school-wide interventions.
- Develop and implement school-wide programs to promote emotional well-being, mental health awareness, and positive behavior.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling programs and workshops, making adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate with school leadership to integrate counseling services into the overall educational experience.
- Stay updated on the latest counseling techniques, mental health research, and CBSE-related educational practices.
- Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions related to student counseling, mental health, and personal development.
- Participate in school meetings and contribute to the development of policies related to student well-being.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
