**Position Overview**:
**Key responsibilities**:
1. Design and create engaging and visually striking website layouts, graphics, and user interfaces using modern design principles and tools.
2. Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins to create unique and functional websites that meet client specifications.
3. Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to understand their requirements, goals, and brand identity, and translate these into effective website designs.
4. Optimize websites for maximum speed, scalability, and performance across various devices and browsers.
5. Implement responsive design techniques to ensure seamless user experiences on both desktop and mobile platforms.
6. Collaborate with content creators to integrate text, images, videos, and other multimedia elements into the website.
7. Conduct regular testing and debugging of websites to identify and address any issues or discrepancies.

**Note**:
1. Hands on knowledge for creating Responsive websites
2. Knowledge of frontend optimization techniques and tools (Chrome Timeline, Memory, etc)
3. Comfortable with HTML5, CSS and other W3C standards
4. Understanding of JS performance / limitations on mobile would be a plus

**Qualifications**:
1. Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
2. Minimum 1-2 years of Proven experience as a Website Designer and WordPress Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of successful projects
3. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Javascript libraries and PHP, with a deep understanding of WordPress architecture and customization
4. Strong visual design skills with an eye for detail, layout, typography, and color
5. Experience with graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Sketch
6. Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and a user-centered design approach
7. Solid understanding of SEO principles and their integration into web design
8. Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
