Summary

We are looking for a Website Designer with strong coding expertise to join our in-house team. The role requires a blend of creative design skills and technical proficiency in front-end development. The ideal candidate will design visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive websites while implementing clean, efficient code. This role involves working on multiple in-house projects, ensuring consistency with brand identity, functionality, and modern UI/UX best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

· Conceptualize and design creative website layouts, templates, and UI components.

· Convert PSD/Figma designs into responsive, cross-browser compatible HTML/CSS/JavaScript code.

· Create visually appealing graphics, icons, banners, and visual assets for websites.

· Maintain brand consistency across all web designs and assets.

Coding & Functionality

· Write clean, optimized HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery code.

· Develop and customize responsive layouts and mobile-first designs.

· Implement interactive elements using JavaScript/jQuery/AJAX.

· Integrate websites with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress).

UI/UX & Standards

· Apply modern UI/UX principles to deliver intuitive and engaging user experiences.

· Conduct usability testing and implement improvements based on feedback.

· Establish and enforce design guidelines, standards, and best practices.

· Optimize websites for SEO and fast load times.

Collaboration & Maintenance

· Work closely with content, design, and development teams to execute projects.

· Test websites for functionality, browser compatibility, and responsiveness.

· Troubleshoot, update, and maintain existing in-house websites.

· Stay updated with latest design trends, coding techniques, and web standards.

Skills & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree/diploma in Web Design, Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Experience: 2–4 years of proven work experience as a Web Designer/Front-end Developer.

Technical Skills:

· Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, AJAX.

· Proficiency in design software: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, Dreamweaver.

· Good understanding of UI/UX design principles.

· Knowledge of CMS platforms like WordPress (mandatory).

· Familiarity with SEO best practices for web design.

· Knowledge of XML, JSON, or Flash/ActionScript (added advantage).

Soft Skills:

· Strong sense of visual design and attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.

· Good communication and presentation skills.

· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
