Power Trading**:Conduct Comprehensive analysis of the power trading market, including the pricing, short term and long term power sell, OTC sell etc. Should have the knowledge of regulations related to power trading in India and the power sector as well. **2. Trading Strategy Development**:Develop and implement effective trading strategies to buy and sell power. Utilize market research, historical data, and quantitative models to inform decision-making. **3. Trade Execution**:Monitor market conditions and make timely adjustments to trading positions based on market developments in the power sector in India. **4. Operation**:Should handle day-to-day operation related to Power trading. Having continuous dialogue with the relevant agencies like CERC and other regulator to check in any compliance both in Operation and trading. **5. Risk Management**:Manage power-related trading risks by setting risk limits, establishing hedging strategies, and implementing risk mitigation techniques. Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of risk management practices. **6. Contract Negotiation**:Negotiate power selling agreements and other carbon-related contracts with counterparties, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company. **7. Financial Analysis**:Analyze the financial performance of power trading activities/business/operation and assess the impact of trade on the overall financial performance/Health of the company. **8. Market Research and Intelligence**:Stay informed about emerging news in power trading market developments, new projects, and potential investment opportunities in the trading market. **9. Data Management**:Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to power trading markets, trading strategies, and operational performance. Use data to refine trading strategies and improve decision-making. **Qualifications and skills**: - Bachelor's degree in engineering and preferred experience at-least in the Power Sector in India and preferable having power trading experience in India. - Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling. - Familiarity with power trading market trading platforms and market instruments. - Knowledge of international and regional power trading market regulations and compliance mechanisms. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, making quick decisions under pressure. - Understanding of risk management techniques and practices.
