Customer Solution Architect

The Customer Solution Architect within South East Asia Pacific Market Service will be leading the rollout of multi-domain projects primarily focussed on IMS/VoLTE/VoNR. The incumbent is expected to have good understanding of Packet Core and Cloud.

The role entails
- High-end exposure to IMS/ VoLTE/VoNR including 3gpp specifications, IMS use cases and migration techniques
- Solid dependency on 4G/5G Packet Core, Subscriber Data Management, Charging, Policy, OSS and other systems.
- Architectural know-how of Cloud Infrastructure and 4G/ 5G Packet Core
- Exposure to Security and auxiliary services such as VPN, FW, DHCP, DNS, BGP etc.
- Develops customer network cloud infrastructure architecture for IMS that will be the Voice infrastructure for 4G and 5G services, based primarily on Kubernetes and RedHat Openshift cloud platform.
- Develops high level solution design (decompose the requirements into the functional blocks, defines solution components, external and internal interfaces, responsibilities of the components, network protocols) as input for overall technical solution
- Creates solution details including components, external and internal interfaces, responsibilities of the components, network protocols to be used, component flow charts that includes multi-vendor environment
- Keeps in permanent contact with Customer’s stakeholders by means of regular meetings and workshops
- Lead all technical discussions with Customer teams
- Is a key technical leader with E2E responsibility and bridges between Domains (mainly IPTEL, CI, PACO), support, R&D teams and the project delivery team to identify and manage technical and scope design, solution, risks, mitigations and roadmap
- Performs technical risk evaluation and plans to mitigate risks of proposed design/solution.
- Evaluates new technologies and sets a direction for future technical capability demands
- Plan and Review migration strategy of traffic from existing legacy network to the IMS on cloud infrastructure
- A deep understanding of how IMS network is designed for Consumer and Enterprise including full understanding of 3gpp specifications and IMS use cases and integration with 5G networks for VoLTE and VoNR services
- Solid understanding of dependency on 4G/5G Packet Core, Subscriber Data Management, Charging, Policy, OSS and other systems.
- Architectural know-how of Cloud Infrastructure and 4G/ 5G Packet Core
- Good understanding of Security and auxiliary services such as VPN, FW, DHCP, DNS, BGP etc.
- Ability to support Australia/NZ/Taiwan and SEA region based in India. As incumbent needs to travel often during critical project activities.
