**Key Responsibilities**
- **Develop detailed CAD drawings**: 2D/3D layouts, schematic diagrams, isometrics, sections, elevations, and shop drawings for fire protection systems—including sprinklers, hydrants, wet risers, foam-deluge systems, clean-agent systems, pumps, valves, pump rooms, and equipment rooms
- **Compliance with codes**: Ensure all designs adhere to NFPA standards, FM Global, IS/NBC (India), or local/regional fire safety regulations
- **Coordinate across teams**: Collaborate closely with MEP engineers, architects, structural teams, contractors, and clients to resolve conflicts and update designs **Site visits & verification**: Conduct site surveys to gather dimensions, verify installation accuracy, and prepare as-built drawings
- **Hydraulic calculations & BOQs**: Perform pipe sizing, pump sizing, hydraulic analysis, and prepare material take-offs and bills of quantities
- **Documentation management**: Maintain and update design records—including GFC drawings, coordination drawings, equipment schedules, and technical datasheets.
- **Mentor junior staff**: Provide guidance to junior draftsmen and coordinate design deliverables internally

**Qualifications & Experience**
- **Educational background**: Diploma/Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or related field
- **Professional experience**: Typically 2-5 years drafting fire protection systems; requirements vary by region/job (e.g. 3+ years in Gulf, 4-5 years in India).
- **Technical skills**:

- Proficient in AutoCAD (2D/3D), often Revit/BIM.
- Familiarity with hydraulic calculation tools.
- Strong understanding of relevant NFPA, IS/NBC, FM standards
- **Soft skills**:

- Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and strong organizational skills.
- Clear communication in written and verbal form.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.

- India: ₹2.5 to 4- LPA (varies with experience and region)

**JD Summary**

We seek a **Fire Protection Draughtsman** with 1-5 years of AutoCAD/BIM experience in developing detailed mechanical layouts (sprinklers, hydrants, pumps, foam systems), hydraulic calculations, BOQs, and as-built documentation.
