**WALK IN INTERVIEW FOR THE POSITION OF PROJECT ASSOCIATE-I**

A walk-in interview for the position of **Project Associate
- I** (One Post) under the
**Self-Financing Scheme on “Feed and Fodder Technology**” is scheduled to be held on
**22.11.2024 (Friday)** at the Department of Animal Nutrition, Veterinary College and
Research Institute, Mohanur Road, Namakkal - 637 002. The post is purely temporary and
engagement is initially for **three years** period which can be extended depending on the
qualifications, emoluments, age, responsibilities and other details of the said position are as
provided below

2 Essential
qualifications

Master’s degree in Veterinary / Animal Science / Fisheries in any
in Feed Manufacturing Technology or Bachelor’s Degree in
Technology (B.Tech.) in Poultry Production Technology / Food
Processing / Agricultural Engineering / Fisheries Engineering from a
recognized University or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks.

3 Desirable
qualifications

1.M.V.Sc. in Animal Nutrition / Livestock Products Technology or
M.F.Sc, in Fish Nutrition and Feed Technology or Master’s Degree in
Technology (M.Tech) - Poultry Production Technology / Food
Technology / Fish Process Engineering / Agricultural Engineering /
Farm Machinery / Processing and Food Engineering
2. Operation of computers and accounting software & typing
3. Work experience in Feed mills / Food processing units
4. Research experience in Feed Technology
5. Passing of NET / GATE / Any other approved eligibility tests.
6. Should know Tamil to read, write and speak.

4 Emoluments **i) **Rs. 31,000/ + HRA per month to scholars who passed (a) National
Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET or GATE or AICTE / ICAR NET /
Any other National / State level tests approved (or)
ii) Rs 25,000/-+HRA for others who are do not fall under (i) above.

Age relaxation is allowed up to 5 years for SC / ST / OBC / WOMEN

6 Duration of the
post

Initially for **three years**. Further continuance will be based on
performance assessment and functional needs of the project.

7 Duties and
responsibilities

1.To supervise, monitor and coordinate the operation & maintenance
of the Feed and Fodder Technology unit. 2. Procurement, feed
evaluation, quality control 3. To maintain stock / stores, accounts /
reports etc. 4.Teaching / research / extension / product development
activities related to feed and fodder technology.***

The syllabus includes feed and fodder technology, procurement
methods, feed mill operation & maintenance, feed evaluation &
quality control, value addition of feeds and fodders, inventory and
marketing management, accounts and finance management etc. **A**
**minimum mark to be secured in the written test for attending the**
**interview is 50 %. **The pattern will be multiple choice questions for a
duration of 45 minutes with maximum of 30 marks.

**Selection Procedure**: The selection will be based on marks scored in the written test,
educations qualifications, experience and performance in the interview. Applicants should
full time basis.
**Other terms and conditions**

1. The appointment is made purely on temporary basis and the individual shouldn’t claim
any University (TANUVAS) service later. The individual has to work on Saturdays.
However, they are eligible for other leave as per the TANUVAS rules and regulations.

2. The decision of the Selection Committee in all matters relating to eligibility, work

within prescribed time limit. No extension of joining time will be allowed. The
individual has to make own arrangements with respect to boarding and lodging after
joining the post. The individual should have valid driving licence (Two-wheeler) at the
time of joining the post. A medical fitness certificate has to be produced at the time of
joining the said post.

4. The individual has to give prior intimation of 30 days before discontinuing the job.
