The **DAV Group of Schools, Chennai** is, as you maybe aware, one of the premier institutions in the country with a 50+ year heritage of providing high quality, value-based and affordable education. The group today, caters to over 40,000 students across 8 Owned schools, 5 Managed schools, 2 Govt-Aided schools, 1 vocational training centre and 11 academic associate schools. It has a staff strength of 1400, including over 1,000 teaching staff. Four of our branches have been consistently ranked amongst top 30 schools in the country.

As part of its transformational journey, over the years the group has also introduced many exciting new initiatives and Programs such as Teacher Training, Sports Academy, Publications, Public Policy etc.

**Responsibilities**
- Research and evaluate potential vendors.
- Price comparisons / Vendor analysis
- Negotiating contracts on reasonable terms for pricing and supply.
- Obtain approvals as per TNAES’s Delegation of Authority
- Tracking the orders and ensuring timely deliveries.
- Updating order details into our internal databases.
- Periodical reports/MIS to Management/ Purchasing committee.
- Collaborating with the teams to develop purchasing plans and source potential vendors.
- Vendor feedback from Schools/ stakeholders
- Maintaining good relationships with suppliers.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest market and industry trends.

**Requirements**:

- 2-3 years proven track record of working in Purchasing department or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of purchasing processes and policies.
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft office suite).
- Ability to create quality MIS.
- Ability to make quick decisions.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- A keen eye for detail and ability to accurately review contracts.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good Interpersonal skills.

**Salary**: From ₹25,000.00 per month
