Applications Support

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
- We closely collaborate with Application Development, QA and Operate teams for environment setup, regulatory projects and BAU support.
- Scope of Work includes, but not limited to:
- Ensuring SODs and SOWs checks are good
- Encouraging and implementing automation
- Trade Flow issue investigation
- Tech refreshes, Migrations, Rationalizations
- Project Management and implementation of technical programs
- Functional/Regulatory testing program (like MIFID, BREXIT etc.) support
- Environment support
- Application Support
- Application Build management
- Managing lower Env deployments
- Managing and developing tools that support all of above points.
- Strengthen L1 team on BAU support
- Identification and resolution of any issues raised against non-production environments in a timely and effective manner. Take ownership of issues. This includes escalation of critical incidents
- Identify recurring issues and implement fixes
- Pitch-in for process improvement.
- Incorporate latest cloud and DEVOPS technologies approved by the firm
- Strive to Improve of overall quality of service and environment availability
- Strong Business Partnership:_
- Build a strong relationship with our user base - Application Development, QA and Operate teams
- Strive for a strong working partnership with Infra teams like Unix support, DB support, Storage teams etc.
- Essential Skills & Experience
- Has 2 to 5 years experience in a support role
- Strong Unix background
- 2 years SQL/Sybase
- Enterprise RDBMS (Sybase/Oracle)

Preferred Skills & Experience
- 1 year PYTHON (desirable)
- Exposure to cloud technologies and DEVOPS environment would be an added advantage
- Useful to be familiar with quality guidelines, standards, and procedures
- May have been an Application Service Delivery Analyst or a Production System Administrator
- Good understanding of demand-based lifecycle and importance of customer communication.
- Knowledge of Investment Banking (preferable)
