**Summary**:
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Sets up machines and equipment, programs machines and makes any modifications in machine run cycle needed for maximum tool efficiency and minimum air time.
- Requisition tooling & raw material required to meet production goals.
- Examines items produced to determine if items meet specifications.
- Develops and manages production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment to meet production goals, per production planner and requested prototype jobs from Engineering.
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
- Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Maintains time and production records.
- Confers with other supervisors and functional groups to coordinate activities of individual departments.
- Performs activities of workers supervised, this a “hands on position”

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES** In their daily activities this person will direct up to 10 employees in the CNC Department. Responsibilities include interviewing, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems, always leading by example.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**

Four to Six years’ machine shop operations experience with three to five years supervision experience. Machine programming knowledge is required.

**Salary**: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Rotational shift
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Performance bonus
- Yearly bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- CNC lathe: 3 years (required)

**Language**:

- Hindi (preferred)
