**Job Tittle**-Proof Reader

**Description-** As a copy-editor or proof reader you'll ensure that material is clear, consistent, complete and credible, and that text is well written, grammatically correct and accessible. You'll take the initial material, or the copy, and make it ready for publication. You'll work on a range of publications, including: books.

Proof readers catch spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. They also look at the formatting to make certain all elements are included and appear as they should—spotting things like a sentence appearing twice or accidentally getting omitted, a headline failing to show as bold, or the date missing from a document.

**Proof reader Duties and Responsibilities-**

Review documents for grammar, spelling, and style.

Meet proof reading deadlines.

Fact-cheque dates and other statements for accuracy.

Ensure all text adheres tone and character count outlined by company policies.

Confirm all submitted writing is original.

Make corrections and edit the document

**Role**

**Requirements**:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant experience

Proficiency in basic computer programes, such as Microsoft Office

Familiarity with style guides

Excellent grammar and communication skills

Fact-checking and research expertise

**Job Types**: Internship, Freelance
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
