Field Supervisor

Solid Waste Management Ward Supervisor should be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of waste collection, management, and disposal within a specific ward or designated area. This includes supervising sanitation workers, ensuring compliance with regulations, monitoring equipment, and managing schedules for waste pickup and disposal with provided infrastructure given on daily basis and able to work on allocated Shift Schedules.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- **Supervise Waste Collection Operations**:
Oversee the daily activities of sanitation workers, including waste pickup from residential, commercial, and institutional areas.
- **Ensure Compliance**:
Maintain compliance with local and national regulations regarding waste collection, treatment, and disposal.
- **Equipment Management**:
Regularly inspect and maintain collection vehicles and other equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and safe to operate.
- **Scheduling and Routing**:
Manage the schedules for waste pickup routes, ensuring efficient and timely collection.
- **Training and Supervision**:
Provide training and guidance to sanitation workers, ensuring they follow safe practices and procedures.
- **Monitoring and Reporting**:
Track and analyze waste collection data, identifying areas for improvement and reporting on operational performance.
- **Public Education**:
Promote public awareness of waste management practices and the importance of proper waste disposal.
- **Coordination**:
Collaborate with other departments, such as public works and environmental protection, to ensure effective waste management practices.
- **Problem Solving**:
Address any issues or problems related to waste collection, disposal, or public complaints.
- **Safety**:
Ensure the safety of workers and the public by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

Skills and Qualifications:

- **Knowledge of Solid Waste Management**:
Familiarity with waste collection, treatment, and disposal processes, as well as relevant regulations.
- **Supervisory Skills**:
Ability to effectively supervise and train sanitation workers, motivating them to perform their duties efficiently and safely.
- **Communication Skills**:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with sanitation workers, the public, and other stakeholders.
- **Organizational Skills**:
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and track performance.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**:
Ability to identify and resolve issues related to waste collection, disposal, or public complaints.
- **Physical Stamina**:
Ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and walking in various weather conditions.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹212,518.00 - ₹235,985.00 per year
