
Reservations Supervisor

**Job Summary**:
The Reservations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the reservations team and ensuring smooth operations related to booking and guest communication. The role requires expertise in IDS (Integrated Distribution System) and a strong focus on maximizing occupancy, revenue, and guest satisfaction. This position also involves training and guiding the team to deliver exceptional service while maintaining system accuracy.
**Key Responsibilities**:Reservations Management**
- Supervise the reservations team to ensure accurate and timely handling of all booking inquiries.
- Manage room inventory, rates, and availability across IDS and other distribution channels (OTAs, GDS, etc.).
- Monitor and adjust reservation allocations to optimize occupancy and revenue.
**System Expertise (IDS)**
- Ensure the IDS platform is updated with accurate room availability, rate codes, and promotions.
- Resolve any discrepancies between IDS and property management systems (PMS).
- Train staff on the effective use of IDS to maximize efficiency and minimize errors.
**Team Leadership**
- Guide, mentor, and train the reservations team to maintain high performance and service standards.
- Monitor team productivity and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.
- Schedule and delegate tasks to ensure adequate coverage during peak booking periods.
**Guest Service Excellence**
- Handle escalated booking issues, special requests, or guest complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure all guest interactions reflect the property’s standards of hospitality and professionalism.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with repeat guests and key accounts.
**Reporting & Analysis**
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on reservations, occupancy, and revenue performance.
- Analyze booking trends and make recommendations for pricing, promotions, or packages.
- Provide insights on market trends and competitor analysis to management.
**Collaboration**
- Work closely with the sales, marketing, and revenue management teams to implement strategies.
- Coordinate with front office and housekeeping teams to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Assist in managing group reservations, including room blocks and special arrangements.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in reservations, front office, or a similar role in hospitality.
- Proficiency in IDS and property management systems (e.g., Opera, IDS Next).
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Familiarity with global distribution systems (GDS) and online travel agencies (OTAs).
- Knowledge of revenue management principles and dynamic pricing.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
