Role Summary

This role is to work as part of an engineering consultancy design team in India and involved in exciting new projects and liaison with the WSP South Africa Team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create and maintain 3D models of Electrical, ELV and Control & Instrumentation systems;
- Implement design changes and updates to BIM models as per project requirements
- Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate representation of system components
- Coordinate with the project team to ensure BIM models align with project timelines and specifications.
- Conduct clash detection and resolve coordination issues with various services (HVAC, Fire, Civil, Wet Services, Structural elements, etc.)
- Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for BIM modelling in Electrical, ELV and Control & Instrumentation.
- Attention to detail and the ability to perform and understand multi service co-ordination is critical.
- Innovation for BIM purposes and internal operational developments
- Development of BIM families

**Skills**:

- The ELV BIM Modeler will be responsible for producing 3D Models and ancillary components (including data and drawing delivery);
- Liaise with the discipline engineers and collaborate and coordinate with other teams involved in the scheme throughout the development of the project;
- Follow the BIM content standards, execution plan and project workflow set out by the BIM coordinator/Lead/Manager;
- Export files in required formats for preparation and collaboration within federated models;
- Adapting to new software’s and workflows for the needs of the business and/or Client requirements;
- Personal development through provided WSP training and learning streams;
- Working on wide range of exciting projects at a international level;
- Maintain and develop Revit families and standards
- Experience collaborating with inter-disciplinary design teams;
- Ability to produce task information delivery plans and provide estimates of required time for proposed and provided tasks;
- Agree priorities and deadlines for model and drawing production with the project engineer;
- Ability to work on own initiative, manage own time and assist managing junior staff to meet deadlines;
