Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems
- Replace and Install electrical components, such as cutouts, harness, relays, fuses, and circuit breakers, horns, lights, and turn signals, wire gauges, gauges, sensors, alternators, starter motors etc
- Perform maintenance on batteries and charging systems
- Inspect and test electrical connections and components
- Insulate and wire electrical panels and engine compartment
- Perform engine and driveline repairs
- Analyze and interpret technical diagrams
- Prepare estimates for costs and labor hours
- Propose repairs based on vehicle electrical systems diagnosis
- Read blueprints and other process drawings
- Use digital diagnostic equipment to identify issues
- Solder and crimp electrical wiring.
