Role Overview**:
The Power BI Administrator is responsible for the administration and support of the Power BI platform, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, data analysts, and IT teams to deliver robust reporting and analytics solutions.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Power BI Environment Management:

- Administer and manage the Power BI service and integrations.
- Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Power BI gateways.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards.

Security and Compliance:

- Implement and enforce data security and privacy policies, including Row-Level Security (RLS).
- Manage user roles, permissions, and access control within the Power BI platform.
- Ensure compliance with organizational data governance and industry regulations.

User Support and Training:

- Provide technical support to Power BI users and troubleshoot any issues related to report generation and data connectivity.
- Develop and conduct training sessions to improve user proficiency in Power BI.
- Document processes, guidelines, and best practices for Power BI usage.

Data Governance:

- Collaborate with data governance teams to establish and maintain data quality standards.
- Ensure proper data cataloguing and metadata management within the Power BI environment.
- Monitor data usage and implement measures to maintain data accuracy and integrity.

Reporting and Analytics:

- Assist in the development and optimization of complex data models within Power BI.
- Work with business stakeholders to translate requirements into Power BI solutions.
- Create and maintain a library of standardized reports and dashboards.

Platform Monitoring and Maintenance:

- Perform regular system checks and maintenance tasks, including updates and backups.
- Monitor usage metrics and capacity planning to ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Collaborate with IT teams to manage integrations with other data sources and platforms.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Power BI Administrator or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Power BI service, Power BI Desktop, DAX, and Power Query.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Relevant certifications in Power BI, Azure, or data management are advantageous.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in BI, data analytics, or IT administration roles.
