Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced Power BI Administrator to manage and support our Power BI environment. The Power BI Admin will ensure the smooth deployment, management, and maintenance of Power BI reports, dashboards, and the overall system. This role requires technical expertise in Power BI, data governance, and security to support business intelligence operations. Key Responsibilities :

  • Administer and maintain the Power BI service environment, including Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
  • Manage user access, security, and permissions to ensure the security and confidentiality of data.
  • Monitor the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards, troubleshoot, and optimize them for performance.
  • Coordinate with development teams to ensure data sources and reports are connected and updated regularly.
  • Ensure governance practices are in place for Power BI report deployment and usage.
  • Handle the lifecycle of Power BI content, from development to deployment to decommissioning.
  • Manage Power BI workspaces, datasets, and apps, ensuring proper organization and access.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Power BI service outages, report issues, and data inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with business users to understand their reporting needs and ensure that Power BI solutions align with business goals.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest features and updates in Power BI, applying them to the environment as necessary.

Required Skills :

  • Strong expertise in Power BI, including both Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
  • Experience in managing Power BI workspaces, security, and data governance.
  • Proficiency in writing DAX, Power Query, and using Power BI data models.
  • Familiarity with the integration of Power BI with other data systems such as SQL Server, Azure, SharePoint, etc.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and creating impactful, user-friendly dashboards.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting to automate Power BI tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
