Career Counselor

Job Responsibilities:

- Advise students about what courses and educational programs they need for particular careers.
- Understanding the learner’s career preferences and concerns.
- Counsel individual learners, working with them to aid in the development of both hard and soft skills.
- Aid learners in the job search process by teaching them where to look for open positions and connecting them with job search resources.
- Teach job-search skills such as interviewing, resume writing, and networking and help clients practice them.
- Evaluate clients' educational and work backgrounds in order to help them determine what they need to do next to achieve their goals
- Use achievement tests and aptitude tests to help clients get a better idea of what they're good at.
- Counsel clients who are considering a career change.
- Guide learners in determining their interests and abilities using a wide range of methods, such as aptitude assessments, interviews, and planning materials
- Conduct group workshops on a variety of topics, including writing resumes and cover letters, successful job interviewing, using university employment databases and career development resources, researching graduate programs, and more
- Work with learners to overcome issues that could undermine their academic or career success
- Plan and publicize the career services center’s programs and events such as workshops, job fairs, and orientation sessions
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other student services divisions to help achieve wide goals and contribute to its long-range planning
- Conducting mock interviews to help learners with interview preparations

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Industrial psychology, social development, human resources, or similar.
- 2- 8 Yrs. Experience.
- Able to join within15 to 30 Days
- Location - Chennai.
