Role: S&A_Alation

Location: Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune

Hybrid Mode Position
Exp: 4 - 8+ Years

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and actively participate in the implementation and customization of Alation data catalog solutions.
- Collaborate closely with data users, business analysts, and stakeholders to comprehend data catalog requirements.
- Provide technical expertise in designing and developing data catalogs to ensure they align with business objectives.
- Mentor and supervise junior data catalog engineers, offering technical guidance and assistance.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to define and prioritize backlog items, monitoring progress using tools such as Jira.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to uphold coding standards and optimal practices in Alation configurations.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and resolve any data catalog-related issues that arise.
- Engage with client IT stakeholders to gather requirements, tackle technical obstacles, and provide expert advice on Alation features.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for Alation configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Keep abreast of the latest Alation features, updates, and best practices.

Requirements: Demonstrated experience as an Alation Data Catalog Engineer with leadership responsibilities. Profound understanding of data cataloging concepts and best practices. Proficiency in working with Alation configurations and customizations. Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, and data governance principles. Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities. Knowledge of version control systems, issue tracking tools, and project management methodologies. Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. Certifications in Alation or related technologies are preferred.
