**Job Purpose**:
A CNC Milling Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC milling machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce parts according to blueprints, drawings, and other specifications.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
- Monitor machine performance during operation, adjusting feed and speed settings as necessary to ensure high-quality results.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and make adjustments to the machine as needed to correct any issues.
- Maintain machines by cleaning and lubricating them, changing worn or broken tools, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with other team members, such as programmers and quality control inspectors, to ensure efficient production and high-quality results.
- Keep accurate records of machine settings, production output, and any issues encountered during the manufacturing process.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating CNC milling machines, including knowledge of programming and tooling.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, and materials used in CNC milling.
- Understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials.

**Preferred qualifications**:

- Vocational or technical training in CNC machining or related field.
- Experience with CAM software.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles.
