**System Designation: Principal Data Scientist**

**Location: Remote**

**Overview**:As the apex of the data science hierarchy, the Principal Data Scientist will set the strategic direction for data-driven initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and lead in the adoption of advanced technologies including Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Generative AI.
- Strategically lead the planning and execution of data science projects, focusing on innovative solutions in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Generative AI.
- Act as a mentor and guide to the Data Science team, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate Data Science capabilities across the business, enhancing decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Drive the adoption of advanced analytical techniques and tools, ensuring the team remains at the forefront of technological advancements.
- Develop and oversee data models, algorithms, and predictive analytics that support business objectives.
- Ensure data quality and governance, promoting best practices in data management and security.
- Engage with stakeholders across the organization, translating complex data insights into actionable business strategies.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in data science, continuously enhancing skills and knowledge to drive innovation.

**Qualifications**:

- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, with a strong focus on Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and AI.
- Demonstrated track record in leading data science projects and initiatives, with a portfolio of successful implementations.
- Extensive experience with Python and its libraries for data science (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Proven experience in developing and deploying large-scale machine learning models and solutions.
- Strong publication record in leading conferences and journals is a plus.
- Professional certifications in data science or related fields are advantageous.

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in Python is mandatory; familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) tools, Data Engineering, Snowpark and Dataiku is a plus.
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and strategic thinking capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of leveraging data to drive business improvements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality data science solutions.
