Ensure all machines safety systems are checked and working during operation.Nil major safety related incidents.
- Have a clear understanding of ESH safety standards and Norms and communicate the same to the team on a regular basis.
- Training of incoming employees on basic safety related norms.
- Ensure and assist in risk assessment and risk mapping in the production department. Ensure implementation of actions to address identified risks.
- Have a clear understanding of quality requirements from customer viewpoint and internal documentation of the same.
- Ensure nil delays in dispatches to customers due to machine breakdowns.
- Thorough Knowledge of costing targets and responsibilities for achieving the same consistently.
- Ensure that preventive maintenance is regularly and thoroughly taken up in between production schedules.
- Ensure more accurate time -keeping and down time recording to help better analyse machine issues to increase overall machine yield.
- Continuous improvement in changeover times, and sharing of best Practices.
- Practice of prudence and cost consciousness within the department through effective control of cost drivers labour, material, power, water etc.
- Continuous review of the budget and control systems provided by the management in relation to spares and repair etc.
- Fulfilment of audit related responsibilities and support to audit team.
- Ensuring conformance to SOP'S, documentation is in order as per company standards as well as being in accordance with ISO, Ethical Audit and all the other Audits.
- Effective and timely cleaning of machines with the right frequency and techniques.
- Thorough understanding and implementation of 5s principles on the shop-floor.
- Training and development of direct as well as indirect reportees from the technical, leadership and responsibility handling perspective.
- Organize regular off-line training sessions to increase the technical, skill and exposure of direct and indirect reportees.
- Undertake mini-projects from time to time to improve yield and reduce costs.
- Provide regular training on SOP'S to Junior Production Associates and contract workers.
- Ensure cleanliness and that GMP standards are adhered to on the shop floor and utility areas at all times.
- Assist in R&D process, trials, other new product related requirements, plant changes and new machines.
- Develop local vendors for Spares and Repairs.
- Maintain spare part consumption/failure and machine history records.
- Assist to plan and schedule maintenance activities of equipment.

REQUIREMENTS: ITI (electrical or mechanical), Fitter, Diploma in Mec. Eng.
