As a CDP, you will be responsible for managing a specific section within our Indian kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and consistency. You will contribute your expertise in regional Indian dishes and cooking techniques to deliver an authentic and exceptional dining experience for our guests.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Station Management**:

- Take full responsibility for the efficient and effective operation of your designated Indian cuisine station (e.g., Tandoor, Curry, Biryani, South Indian).
- Ensure all mise en place is prepared to the required standards and in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within your station, adhering to hygiene and food safety regulations.
- **Food Preparation and Cooking**:

- Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Demonstrate proficiency in various Indian cooking techniques, including but not limited to:

- **Tandoor**: Marinating and cooking meats, poultry, seafood, and breads in a tandoor oven.
- **Curry**: Preparing a wide range of North and South Indian curries with diverse gravies and flavor profiles.
- **Biryani/Pulao**: Preparing aromatic rice dishes with meat, vegetables, and spices.
- **South Indian**: Preparing dosas, idlis, vadas, sambar, chutneys, and other regional specialties.
- **Vegetarian**: Preparing a variety of flavorful vegetarian Indian dishes.
- Ensure consistent portion control and presentation of all dishes.
- Taste and adjust seasonings as necessary to achieve optimal flavor.
- **Quality Control**:

- Ensure all dishes leaving your station meet the hotel's quality standards in terms of taste, appearance, and temperature.
- Report any food quality issues or discrepancies to the Sous Chef or Executive Chef.
- **Inventory and Stock Management**:

- Assist in monitoring stock levels for your station and inform the Sous Chef of any shortages.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of food items to minimize waste.
- **Teamwork and Communication**:

- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Communicate effectively with the Sous Chef and other chefs regarding any issues or special requests.
- Assist junior chefs and commis chefs in their tasks and provide guidance as needed.
- **Hygiene and Safety**:

- Adhere strictly to all hygiene and food safety regulations (HACCP).
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all food items.
- **Menu Knowledge and Contribution**:

- Possess a thorough understanding of the Indian cuisine menu items and their preparation methods.
- May contribute ideas and suggestions for new dishes or menu improvements.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience (typically 2+ years) as a Commis Chef or Demi Chef with a strong focus on Indian cuisine.
- In-depth knowledge and expertise in various regional Indian culinary traditions and cooking techniques.
- Excellent practical skills in preparing a wide range of authentic Indian dishes.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- A passion for Indian food and a desire to learn and develop culinary skills.
- Culinary diploma or relevant certification is an advantage.
- Familiarity with tandoor ovens and other specialized Indian cooking equipment is preferred.
- Knowledge of local ingredients and spices used in Hyderabadi and other Indian cuisines is a plus.

Pay: ₹13,673.19 - ₹36,750.17 per month
