**Brief Role**:
**Nursing Tutor**
- We have an urgent requirement for Nursing Tutor
- To co-ordinate and take lectures for the Ophthalmic Nursing Assistant students
- To monitor the trainees in wards and theater.
- Look after the health and well being of the trainees
- Coordination of ONA training program by corresponding, conducting interviews, sending call letters, orientation of the trainees, maintaining their personal files, conducting their internal and semester examinations, issuing marks sheets & certificates at the end of the training period each year.
- Preparing curriculum for Ophthalmic Nursing Assistant (ONA) training program.
- Preparing class roasters, clinical rotation for ONA trainees.
- Responsible for scheduling training classes, seminars, and conferences.
- Maintenance of the ONA training program in accordance with the current rules and regulations and with in the approved budget.
- Assessing the Knowledge of the students and based up on that teaching the students as per their level of capability.
- Preparing notes on all topics in the syllabus for ONA trainees with new additions if required.
- Responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports of my area.
- To co-ordinate and implement policies and procedures which will help the organization to function smoothly.
- Assist students in achieving a better understanding of Medical terminology and in improving academic capabilities in designated areas.
- Establish and maintain rapport with the students and colleges in work area.
- Arranging English classes for nursing trainees.
- Coordinating with Optometrists, Microbiology dept and rehabilitation in arranging classes for the nursing trainees.
- Keeping a track of other training programs up to date running at Education center.
- Taking care of short term trainees form affiliated centers for training.
- Taking care of their accommodation and other requisites.
- Help students to develop positive attitudes towards learning and working.
- Help students to develop self-confidence, raise self-concept, and reduce anxiety or fear of working in work area.
- Organizing cultural programs on certain occasions like Nurses day.
- Evaluating the performance of the trainees in the clinical as well as in their theory by conducting their exams.
- Evaluating at their clinical areas.
