The Role

As a Wintel Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients - which means some of the biggest in the world.

There’s never a typical day as a Wintel Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You’ll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You’ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation of Wintel environments.- Manage Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, and permissions.- Implement and manage backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.- Support hardware and software installations, upgrades, and patches.- Configure and manage virtualization environments using VMware or Hyper-V.- Maintain network and system security in compliance with company policies.- Assist in capacity planning and system performance tuning.- Collaborate with other IT staff to support the organization's infrastructure and project needs.- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT personnel.- Maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to outages and incidents as required.

Who You Are

Required Technical and Professional Experience- 3+ years of experience as a Wintel Administrator or in a similar role.- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.- Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Group Policy.- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).- Familiarity with server hardware components and maintenance.- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.- Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions.- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure.- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience- Relevant certifications (MCSE, MCSA, CompTIA) are a plus.
