**Key Accountabilities**:
- Under mínimal supervision this person will be responsible for providing support for Macy's Network infrastructure.
- Will work with the management staff, support teams and team technical leads to perform operational tasks.
- As a member of the network operations team, provides technical expertise in the areas of network operations and support.
- Participates as a member of the team’s on-call rotation.
- Communicates technical issues and plans to management, external and internal customers and business partners.
- Must be able to effectively communicate ideas both verbally and in written form.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
**Skills Summary**:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology or related technical discipline.
- Equivalent education and experience will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in network operations role.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a high-end network engineering capacity.
- Expert level knowledge in LAN/WAN technologies.
- Expert knowledge of TCP/IP.
- Advanced knowledge of network topologies.
- Advanced knowledge of Load-balancer technologies, configuration and support.
- Knowledge on F5 LTMs and GTMs a big plus.
- Advanced Cisco switching and routing technologies.
- Layer two and three networking expert along with Routing protocols BGP, OSPF.
- Advanced technical, analytical, problem solving, multitasking and time management skills.
- Highly proficient troubleshooting skills.
- Advanced PC Windows Skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Visio, and MS Project).
- Ability to work directly with remote personnel and teams.
- Provide active monitoring for network infrastructure.
- In depth knowledge and proven experience with network diagnostic and troubleshooting tools.
- In depth knowledge and proven experience with network management tools and techniques.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently.
