**Job Title**

Network and Security Administrator (Mid-Level)

**Responsibilities**
- **Network Management and Maintenance**:

- Configure, maintain, and monitor network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Ensure network uptime, optimize performance, and troubleshoot network issues to maintain seamless connectivity.
- Implement and enforce network segmentation and access control policies.
- **Firewall Management**:

- Manage, configure, and monitor firewalls from vendors such as **Palo Alto**, **SonicWall**, and **AWS Network Firewall**.
- Create and enforce firewall policies to protect network boundaries and prevent unauthorized access.
- Regularly update firewall firmware and software, ensuring protection against the latest threats.
- Optimize firewall rules and conduct regular audits to maintain performance and security.
- **Security Administration**:

- Implement and enforce security protocols, policies, and standards across network and security operations.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage patching processes to address software and hardware vulnerabilities.
- Configure and monitor IDS/IPS and security group rules to protect against unauthorized access and threats.
- **Incident Response and Troubleshooting**:

- Actively monitor network activity to identify potential security breaches or incidents.
- Investigate, analyze, and respond to security incidents, collaborating with other IT teams to ensure swift resolution.
- Document incidents and resolutions to contribute to future security policies and preventive measures.
- **Access Control and User Management**:

- Oversee user access levels, implementing role-based access controls (RBAC) and managing user identities.
- Perform MAC address whitelisting, specific blocking/whitelisting requests, and internet access control as required.
- **SOC & Alert Management**:

- Collaborate with the Security Operations Center (SOC) to respond to alerts and threats, taking necessary action to mitigate risks.
- Maintain and enhance alert configurations, ensuring real-time visibility into potential security issues.
- **Cloud Security Group and Web Application Firewall (WAF) Management**:

- Manage cloud security groups (e.g., AWS) to control access to cloud resources and secure cloud environments.
- **Compliance and Documentation**:

- Ensure all network and security practices align with regulatory and organizational compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO).
- Maintain accurate documentation of network architecture, configurations, and incident response activities.
- **Continuous Improvement and Collaboration**:

- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, best practices, and new technologies to improve security posture.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as IT, DevOps, and management, to ensure network security aligns with business needs.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of experience in network and security administration.
- Proficiency in firewalls, particularly with **Palo Alto**, **SonicWall**, and **AWS Network Firewall**.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS), and best practices.
- Experience with SOC alert handling and incident response.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA Security, CompTIA Security+, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE) are advantageous.

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
