RSM’s Private Client practice is looking for a dynamic tax supervisor to join our. At RSM, our Private Client practice is rooted in strong relationships based on a deep understanding of what matters most to our clients. As a tax supervisor, you will be responsible for the following, which focus on your technical expertise and ability to work on a collaborative team dedicated to excellent client service:

- Be an essential team member advising business owner clients on a full spectrum of business and tax opportunities, including succession planning, wealth transfer planning, and tax compliance
- Supervise staff and assist with the execution of client tax engagements focused on partnership, S corporation or C Corporation, as well as individual and fiduciary taxation
- Provide leadership, training and career mentorship to staff level team members
- Review work for accuracy and quality
- Use feedback and our career development framework to grow your technical and soft skills

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related field
- Passed all four parts of the CPA exam and met all state education requirements to become a CPAin one’s principal place of business/home state; Passed the bar exam; Or passed the enrolled agent exam
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working in public accounting with an emphasis on taxation.
- Experience with entity (partnership, S corporation or C corporation) and individual taxation
- Familiar with fiduciary, gift and estate taxation
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to work in a collaborative team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

- J.D., LL.M. in Taxation and/or Master’s in Taxation
- Experience with private client or business taxation with a desire to grow skills in the private client arena
