Primary Computer Teacher

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Lesson Planning & Delivery**:

- Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons in Computer Science, covering topics such as basic computer operations, keyboard skills, introduction to coding, digital literacy, and internet safety.
- Use a variety of interactive teaching methods such as games, videos, and hands-on activities to make technology concepts easy to understand.
- Introduce students to basic coding concepts through tools like Scratch, Blockly, and simple problem-solving exercises.
- **Curriculum Implementation**:

- Follow the school’s prescribed curriculum for Computer Science and ensure that it aligns with educational standards.
- Incorporate creative projects like creating simple websites, animations, and digital art to engage students and showcase their learning.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Create a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment that encourages active participation and curiosity about technology.
- Use effective classroom management techniques to ensure students are focused and using technology responsibly during computer lab sessions.
- Foster collaboration and teamwork in group projects and encourage students to share ideas and knowledge.
- **Assessment & Feedback**:

- Assess students’ progress through class activities, practical assignments, quizzes, and projects.
- Provide constructive feedback on students' work and offer additional support to those who may need extra help with understanding technology concepts.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular updates to parents.
- **Student Support & Engagement**:

- Offer extra support and one-on-one assistance to students who need help mastering computer skills.
- Organize engaging computer science-related activities like coding challenges, group projects, and technology-related games to motivate students.
- Encourage students to explore computer science and technology outside the classroom through research, exploration, and experimentation.
- **Parental Communication**:

- Maintain open communication with parents regarding students' progress in computer science and provide suggestions for reinforcing learning at home.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss students' academic performance and any concerns regarding their technology learning.
- Keep parents informed about upcoming assignments, projects, and technology-related events.
- **Professional Development**:

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in computer science and technology education.
- Participate in professional development programs and workshops to improve teaching practices and knowledge in the field of technology.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and resources for enhancing the computer science curriculum and teaching methods.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field. A B.Ed. or relevant teaching certification is preferred.
- **Experience**: Previous teaching experience in Computer Science at the primary school level is an advantage.
- **Skills**:

- Experience with coding tools for children such as Scratch, Blockly, or similar platforms.
- Ability to teach technology concepts in a fun, engaging, and student-friendly manner.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Passion for technology and working with young learners.
- Patience, creativity, and a commitment to fostering a positive and productive learning environment.

Pay: Up to ₹27,000.00 per month
