Lab Technician

American Battery Solutions has a full-time opening for a Lab Technician in Bengaluru, India.

**Job Summary**:
The Lab Technician is responsible for performing various tasks related to soldering, lab equipment management, test bed preparation, and overall lab management. This individual must be detail-oriented with the ability to run the operations within the testing lab.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform soldering and assembly of electronic components and circuits.
- Assist in the setup and calibration of lab equipment and instruments.
- Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of lab equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
- Prepare test beds and equipment for experiments and testing.
- Collaborate with engineers and researchers to support their lab needs and assist in conducting experiments.
- Maintain inventory and stock of lab supplies, components, and equipment.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the lab space.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment within the lab.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions or issues and coordinate repairs as needed.
- Document and record test results, observations, and equipment maintenance activities.
- Assist in the development and improvement of lab procedures and processes.
- Adhere to federal and state regulations.
- Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Predictable and reliable attendance.

**Position Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a Lab Technician or a similar role.
- Proficiency in soldering and assembly of electronic components.
- Knowledge of lab equipment and instruments used in electrical engineering experiments and testing.
- Familiarity with test bed setup and equipment calibration procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced lab environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in a laboratory setting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Requirement of soldering and carrying equipment, preparing test set up etc.
- Ability to adjust focus, especially due to concentration on detailed tasks.
- May occasionally need to lift and carry equipment or materials.
- Works in a temperature-controlled office environment.
- May need to lift and carry up to 90 pounds and/or position the body to reach items on the floor/below knee level or reach overhead.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about in industrial environments, and on uneven terrain.
- Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines and inspect parts produced.
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
