Job Title: OT Staff Nurse

Department: Nursing - Operation Theatre

Location: Koramangala

Reports To: OT Incharge / Nursing Superintendent

Experience: 3-5 Years

Job Summary:
The OT Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the operation theatre. The role includes pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care, ensuring strict adherence to infection control protocols and assisting surgical teams during procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Operative Care:
Prepare the OT with necessary equipment, instruments, and sterile supplies.

Assist in patient preparation, including shaving, positioning, and monitoring vital signs.

Verify patient identity, consent, and surgery details.

Intra-Operative Assistance:
Assist surgeons and anesthetists during procedures.

Handle instruments, sponges, and sutures as per sterile techniques (Scrub Nurse Role).

Monitor the patient’s condition and respond to any intra-operative complications.

Maintain proper count of sponges, needles, and instruments.

Post-Operative Care:
Shift patient safely to the recovery room.

Monitor vital signs and communicate with the recovery room nurse.

Document surgical notes, instrument usage, and medications given.

Infection Control & Safety:
Ensure strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.

Sterilize and disinfect OT equipment before and after procedures.

Proper disposal of biomedical waste as per hospital guidelines.

Documentation & Communication:
Maintain accurate OT records and nursing notes.

Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthetists, and the nursing team.

Report any adverse events or incidents immediately.

Key Requirements:
Qualification: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.

Registration: Must be registered with the State Nursing Council.

Experience: 3-5 years in an OT setup (General Surgery, Urology, Nephrology, etc.)

**Skills**:Strong knowledge of OT procedures and sterile techniques.

Ability to stay calm under pressure.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
