Sheet Metal Fabricator

**Role Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Supervise and coordinate activities of fabricators, machine operators, and coating technicians.
- Plan and monitor daily production schedules for sheet fabrication and coating lines.
- Interpret engineering drawings and job orders for sheet metal components.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards in fabrication, surface preparation, and powder coating.
- Conduct inspections during fabrication and coating processes to maintain accuracy and finish.
- Monitor coating thickness, curing, and surface quality.
- Train and mentor staff on fabrication techniques, coating processes, and safe working practices.
- Coordinate with planning, design, and quality teams for smooth workflow.
- Optimize material usage (sheet nesting, paint/powder consumption) to reduce wastage.
- Maintain production, manpower, and quality records.

**Key Skills & Competencies**
- Strong knowledge of **sheet metal fabrication (laser cutting, press brake, bending, assembly)**.
- Practical experience in **powder coating processes** (pre-treatment, coating, curing, and quality checks).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Team management and leadership skills.
- Focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Strong problem-solving and reporting skills.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- ITI / Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Fabrication or equivalent.
- 5-10 years of experience in **sheet metal fabrication and powder coating**, with 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in managing **fabrication and coating plant operations** will be preferred.
