**ROLE DESCRIPTION**:
Nurse will be responsible to promote and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Operational**
- To be accountable for delivering holistic approach to patient cantered care with excellent standards meeting the need of the individuals.
- To ensure that the dignity, safety and confidentiality of all patients are respected at all times and that all patients receive the highest possible standards of physical, psychological and spiritual care.
- Impeccable pain management skills.
- To assess, plan, implement and evaluate care from the point of admission through to discharge or death &bereavement in collaboration with interdisciplinary team.
- To be an integral part of Interdisciplinary team.
- Maintain custody and storage and administration of controlled and other drugs.
- Contribute to policies and procedures and assist in following them.
**Patient Care Coordination**
- Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand care requirements.
- Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
- Promotes patient's independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, friends and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions.
- Resolves patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
- Should be able to deal with patients i.e. children, dispense medicine and cater to them as per requirement.
**Hygiene**:
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Calling for assistance from health care support personnel.
**Documentation**:
- Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies, using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
**Maintenance**:
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
**Building Healthy Network**:
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
**Projects and Program Management**
- Implementation & running of the “You are Not Alone Program - YANA: YANA Patient Navigation - building bridges with newly diagnosed families.
- Implementation & running YANA Hold My Hand Program - for PSG members.
- To run the one on one Counseling Program.
- Counseling of patients and families in Wards, Hospital OPDs and at Chattai Clinics.
- To run the Special Psychological Intervention Clinics ensuring proper documentation
- Sharing -Caring Sessions
- with parents (newly diagnosed**, **relapse, terminal)
- Teenage cancer patients and survivors
- Pediatric oncology medical and social support teams

**Qualification**: B.Sc in Nursing/GNM
**Experience**: 2-3 years
**Salary**: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
