Autocad Designer

The AutoCAD Engineer is responsible for creating, modifying, and managing detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings to support engineering and design projects. This role involves collaboration with project managers, architects, and other engineers to produce accurate and functional designs that meet project specifications and standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **CAD Design and Drafting**:

- Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings using AutoCAD software.
- Develop and maintain technical drawings, plans, and schematics.
- Modify existing drawings based on project requirements and specifications.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineers to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure design consistency and accuracy.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on engineering solutions.
- **Technical Documentation**:

- Prepare and maintain documentation for all designs, including drawings, specifications, and design notes.
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and complies with company standards and industry regulations.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Conduct quality checks on designs to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Identify and resolve design issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Implement best practices and standards in CAD design and drafting.
- **Software and Tools Management**:

- Stay updated with the latest versions of AutoCAD and other relevant software.
- Implement new tools and technologies to improve the efficiency and quality of design work.
- Provide training and support to other team members on the use of CAD software and tools.
- **Project Management**:

- Assist in project planning and scheduling.
- Track and report on project progress and deliverables.
- Ensure designs are completed within budget and on time.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or a related field.
- Certification in AutoCAD is highly desirable.
- **Experience**:

- 2-5 years of experience in CAD design and drafting, preferably in an engineering or architectural environment.
- Proven experience with AutoCAD software.
- **Skills**:

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software (e.g., Revit, SolidWorks, etc.).
- Strong technical drawing and drafting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage time effectively.

**Work Environment**:

- This position typically operates in an office environment, but occasional site visits may be required.
- Standard office hours apply, but project deadlines may necessitate additional hours.

**Physical Requirements**:

- The job may involve sitting for extended periods and working on a computer.
- Some light lifting of files or equipment may be required.
