
Hospital Receptionist

**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Patient Reception & Registration**:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival.
- Register patients, verify their information, and maintain accurate records in the hospital management system.
- **Scheduling Appointments**:
- Coordinate and schedule patient appointments efficiently.
- Inform patients of their appointment details and address any rescheduling or cancellations.
- **Communication & Coordination**:
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to the appropriate departments.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff regarding patient flow and schedules.
- **Administrative Duties**:
- Handle billing and payment processing for patients.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information as per hospital policies and legal regulations.
- **Support Services**:
- Assist patients with completing forms and navigating hospital facilities.
- Provide updates to patients and families about wait times or procedures when required.
- **Education**:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Certification in medical administration or related field (preferred).
- **Experience**:
- Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting (preferred).
