Job Description: Student Support Assistant

Position Title: Student Support Assistant

Department: Academic Support / Student Services / Education

Job Summary:
The Student Support Assistant provides guidance, support, and resources to students to enhance their academic performance, personal development, and career readiness. They work closely with students to set educational goals, develop study strategies, and foster a positive learning environment. Student Support Assistant may work in schools, colleges, universities, or tutoring centers, assisting students in overcoming academic challenges and achieving success.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Academic Guidance & Support:

- Assist students in setting and achieving academic goals.
- Help students develop effective study habits, time management, and organizational skills.

2. Progress Monitoring & Feedback:

- Track students' academic progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular check-ins to discuss challenges and successes.
- Provide constructive feedback and recommend strategies for improvement.

3. Personal & Career Development:

- Offer mentorship on personal growth, motivation, and confidence-building.
- Guide students in career exploration, course selection, and academic planning.
- Connect students with internship, scholarship, or extracurricular opportunities.

4. Collaboration with Faculty & Staff:

- Work with teachers, advisors, and counselors to support student success.
- Communicate student progress and concerns to relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in academic support programs and workshops.

5. Resource & Workshop Coordination:

- Organize study groups, workshops, or seminars on academic skills.
- Recommend books, online tools, and learning resources.
- Assist students in accessing tutoring, counseling, or disability services.

6. Student Advocacy & Motivation:

- Encourage a growth mindset and resilience in students.
- Address barriers to learning (e.g., stress, procrastination, lack of confidence).
- Promote a positive and inclusive academic environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or related field (Master’s preferred for higher education roles).
- Experience: Previous tutoring, mentoring, teaching, or academic advising experience.
- Skills:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and active listening.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Knowledge of learning strategies and academic best practices.
- Familiarity with educational technology and student support resources.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
