**Brief Role**:
**Internal Audit - General Manager**

**Purpose of the Role**:
Work to ensure successful development of an audit strategy and capability. Will be a key team member and responsible for planning and achieving the goals of the Internal Audit department.

**Roles and Responsibilities**

Process Audit: Plan and perform process audits or evaluations to identify process weaknesses, inefficiencies and operational issues facing different Businesses. Recommend corrective actions to improve efficiency and drive compliance. Define and implement measurement and tracking mechanisms to assess and monitor process improvement.
- Internal Control System, DOA and Policies: Sets up internal controls, Delegation of Authority (DOA ) and Standard Operating Procedures
- Risk management: Plan and implement Risk & Compliance framework.
- Track management action plans and issue resolution
- Introduce and implement internal audit best practices and standards
- Will typically lead as well as execute at this level
- Manage stakeholder relationships: To build and maintain relationships with appropriate senior members of the business

- Functional Expertise: has strong knowledge in the areas of business process maturity and efficiency, internal audits in varied industries and in setting up of Internal Controls and Delegation of Authority and building Standard Operating Procedures
- Process Orientation: creates, implements, standardizes and monitors optimum work processes; documents and shares relevant information and work practices in order to drive best practices implementation across the group
- Results Driven: maintains focus on desired outcome and ensures that the same are achieved irrespective of challenges faced; can operate effectively in environments of ambiguity and transition; demonstrates high levels of accountability and ownership
- Analytical Ability: Simplifies complex situations in a systematic, logical manner by identifying issues, making comparisons, setting priorities, and assessing implications
- Stakeholder Management: works effectively across multiple stakeholders and balances priorities and commitments toward them.
- Planning and Execution : creates effective action plans that will lead to expected outcome; organizes and utilizes resources required; executes actions with precision and deploys contingency plans where necessary to ensure that the end outcome is not compromised
- Self-driven and capable of working independently and willingly assume larger responsibilities
