Architect - Design

You will be a qualified Architect with more than 5 years of working experience who can support concept, planning and the technical design of construction projects in Data center and a range of sectors. This will include developing the project design, production of presentation drawings and sketches. You will also assist in solving design and technical complexities and the preparation of accurate information for construction. You will be responsible for leading specific aspects of the project and project team to assist in the overall effort of completing the various phases of the project ensuring, that we always deliver service excellence to our clients.
- Under direction of the Project Lead or a more senior project leader, develops, modifies, and reviews drawings ensuring the incorporation of design intent.
- Duties may include the development and implementation of project design concepts, project modelling, developing sketches, conducting research and data collection, preparing presentations and reports, and general production of design and construction documents.
- Works on multiple projects, providing concepts and techniques in ways that may explore new ways of achieving design solutions, completing tasks within established deadlines and budgets, and effectively utilizing resources to address project requirements.
- Prepares, manages, and modifies architectural documents, elevations, sections, and details, as directed by others in the project team, following standards and archiving documents as appropriate.
- Develops solutions to technical and design problems following established design standards.
- May assist in the development of project scope, plans, and services during the contract process.
- Knowledge of Data center Project delivery is required.
- Prepares 2D and 3D presentations, design drawings and renderings.
- Compiles data and performs fundamental design computations.
- Incorporates Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.

Knowledge & Skills:

- Technical design knowledge / skills in UK construction methodology.
- Have worked on Data Center projects with demonstrable experience. Have worked across industry sectors with demonstrable experience.
- Experience of working as part of an architectural design team managing and delivering Tender and Construction Stage works packages.Have an ability to sketch and communicate technical detail graphically and effectively.

People Management:

- Able to manage junior colleges and provide guidance and support where necessary.
- Manage design tasks and deliverables and report on progress against the design programme to the project lead. Report on the progress and risks associated with the programme.
- Follow company values and exhibit appropriate behaviours.
- Manage time efficiently and assist / input into team meetings to review design programme.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in the construction / architectural industry.
- Must be a qualified Architect.
- Excellent working knowledge of UK building regulations and working to international standards.
- Working capability and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Fluency in English (oral and written) required.
