**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage and optimize AWS RDS database services, including Amazon RDS, Aurora, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redshift, and related tools like Athena and DMS.
Monitor database performance using tools like CloudWatch, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance optimizations.
Build and manage data pipelines and execute data migration from source to target database services.
Implement and maintain robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies, ensuring data integrity and mínimal downtime.
Set up and maintain database replication for high availability and disaster recovery.
Establish and enforce database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and compliance with data privacy regulations.
Create and manage user accounts, roles, and permissions following organizational security policies.
Automate database management tasks using AWS tools such as Lambda, S3, and other DevOps tools.
Analyze database activity trends, optimize query performance, and ensure efficient resource utilization.

- Perform general database management tasks, including data purging, performance tuning, and operational activities for production systems.
Provide 24/7 on-call support for production and non-production environments, including holidays.
Analyze data structures, validate data integrity, and implement efficient data migration strategies for on-premises to cloud migrations or infrastructure upgrades.
- **Qualifications**
- Proficiency with AWS database services: Amazon RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and Redshift.
Expertise in database migration using tools like AWS DMS and scripting with AWS Lambda.
Strong understanding of DevOps tools, IAM, S3, and CloudWatch for database monitoring and automation.
Familiarity with database security measures, including encryption and access control.
Knowledge of disaster recovery solutions, point-in-time recovery, and high-availability configurations.
3-5 years of experience in database administration and cloud-based environments.
Hands-on experience with data migration, performance tuning, and query optimization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present solutions effectively.
Ability to provide on-call support and respond promptly to critical issues.
