Qualification

Chartered Accountant with 7-8 years of post-CA work experience, with at least 4-5 years in a growth start-up or high-energy corporate

Job Profile in Brief

Driving the accounting & finance function for myBillBook

Finance and Accounting
- Owner for the accounting function for myBillBook including multiple entities in India and Singapore
- Responsible for Monthly/Yearly book closure
- Liaison with the Statutory auditor/tax authorities
- Leading the financial/tax due diligences for the future fund raise in the Company
- Oversight of billing & collections process
- Contract & vendor management including vendor negotiation
- Oversight of the payroll process.
- Ensure financial database accuracy, quality, and reliability; develop and maintain all accounting procedures and systems

Compliances and Taxes
- Oversight for all statutory compliances including Income Tax, GST, TDS, RBI, MCA etc.
- Responsible for timely completion of Statutory and tax audit
- Responsible for resolving for any notices issued by tax authorities

Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Weekly/Monthly MIS Reporting to the management
- Tracking and reporting the key KPIs of the Company with coordination with the other business verticals
- Monthly MIS reporting to the Investors
- Responsible for the annual Budgeting, tracking actuals, Variance Analysis
- Contribute in long term (strategic) and short term (tactical) business planning to achieve business objectives
- Continuously review operational performance, providing high-quality financial information, identify potential risks and opportunities for the business
- Control expenditures of the unit against agreed budgets
- Business partnering for the expansion plans from the financial point of view.

Treasury Management
- Assisting founders/directors in the fund raise process
- Deploying surplus funds in the securities with low risk - both in India as well as in Singapore
- Managing the day to day working capital requirement of the company

Systems and Processes
- Implement and promote a strong financial control and reporting environment.
- Strong process governance (integrated within the existing monthly reporting governance)
- Leveraging on efficiencies with Financial Control
- Improve efficiency by eliminating multiple re-work cycles; deploy effective tools (systems) and processes; automation without manual intervention
- High quality data - available when it is needed
- Strong governance around data / systems and exceptions

Any Other Point to be noted
- Should have the zest and enthusiasm to work with a progressive start-up and be a part of the growth story
- Experience with fintech (preferable)
- Experience in managing the finance for India + overseas structure (preferable)
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
- Hands on experience in handling budgets, Audits, P&L closures.
- Ind AS reporting knowledge
- Good Team Management, Analytical skills
