**Job Title: South Indian Chef**

**Overview**:
As a South Indian Chef at our restaurant, you will be responsible for bringing the authentic flavors and culinary traditions of South India to our menu. With your expertise in South Indian cuisine, you will play a pivotal role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. From mastering traditional recipes to innovating new dishes, you will showcase your culinary skills and passion for excellence in every dish you prepare.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Menu Development and Execution**:

- Design and develop a menu that highlights the diverse and vibrant flavors of South Indian cuisine, including dishes such as dosas, idlis, vadas, sambar, rasam, and a variety of chutneys.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to authentic recipes and adhere to quality standards set by the restaurant.
- Experiment with new ingredients and cooking techniques to innovate and enhance the menu while staying true to traditional flavors.

2. **Food Preparation and Cooking**:

- Prepare and cook South Indian dishes with precision and attention to detail, including the proper tempering of spices and balancing of flavors.
- Use fresh, high-quality ingredients to achieve the authentic taste and texture of each dish.
- Monitor food inventory levels and ensure ingredients are stocked to meet demand.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.

3. **Team Collaboration**:

- Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service.
- Communicate effectively with servers and other restaurant staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Provide guidance and training to junior kitchen staff, sharing your knowledge and expertise in South Indian cooking techniques.

4. **Quality Control**:

- Conduct regular tastings and quality checks to ensure that all dishes meet the restaurant's standards for taste, presentation, and consistency.
- Address any issues or concerns regarding food quality or preparation promptly and effectively.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Chef specializing in South Indian cuisine, with a strong portfolio of traditional and innovative dishes.
- In-depth knowledge of South Indian culinary techniques, ingredients, and flavors.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in food preparation and presentation.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Capacity to lift and carry heavy pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
- Stamina to handle the physical demands of a busy restaurant kitchen.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
