**Position Overview**:

**Educational Qualifications**:

- **Mandatory**:

- BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery)
- MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery)
- **Preferred**:

- MD (Ayurveda) from a recognized institution
- Certification in integrative medicine, panchakarma, or functional medicine (optional but advantageous)

**Experience**:

- **At least 1 year of clinical practice in modern medicine (MBBS setting)**:

- 2-5 years of Ayurvedic clinical practice (may include internship)
- Experience in a hospital or wellness center setting is preferred
- Strong inclination towards holistic and integrative healthcare models

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
**Clinical Duties**:

- Conduct detailed Ayurvedic consultations, including **prakriti analysis, disease diagnosis**, and customized treatment planning.
- Utilize Ayurvedic therapies including herbal prescriptions, **panchakarma**, detoxification protocols, and lifestyle/diet counseling.
- Supervise Ayurvedic therapists and ensure proper execution of treatments.
- Interpret lab reports and imaging (from a modern medicine standpoint) if required to support holistic management.

**Hospital & Team Engagement**:

- Work closely with other Ayurvedic physicians, therapists, dietitians, yoga consultants, and allopathic professionals (if part of integrated model).
- Participate in patient case reviews, interdisciplinary planning, and wellness program development.
- Maintain detailed patient records using both Ayurvedic and biomedical diagnostic frameworks.

**Patient Education**:

- Guide patients on Ayurvedic nutrition, dinacharya (daily regimen), ritucharya (seasonal regimen), and mental wellness practices.
- Conduct public awareness sessions, webinars, or in-house wellness lectures when needed.

**Administrative & Research**:

- Contribute to the creation of SOPs and treatment protocols.
- Assist in developing integrated care pathways or Ayurvedic health packages.
- Optional: participate in clinical research or documentation of treatment outcomes.

**Desired Skills & Attributes**:

- Basic understanding of pharmacology and diagnostics from MBBS curriculum.
- Compassionate communication and patient-handling skills.
- Strong ethical grounding and passion for holistic healing.
- Openness to learning and adapting within an integrative team.
- Fluent in English and Malayalam (other languages an advantage).
