Job Title: Production Estimator - Furniture Manufacturing

**Job Overview**:
As a Production Estimator in the field of furniture manufacturing, your primary responsibility will be to assess and determine the resources, time, and costs involved in the production of various furniture items. You will work closely with production managers, designers, and other stakeholders to create accurate estimates that guide decision-making processes and contribute to the overall efficiency of the manufacturing process.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Project Evaluation**:Collaborate with the design and production teams to understand project requirements.
Evaluate project specifications, blueprints, and other relevant documentation to determine materials, labor, and time requirements.

**Cost Estimation**:Develop detailed cost estimates for each project, including materials, labor, overhead, and any other relevant expenses.
Utilize historical data and industry benchmarks to ensure accuracy in cost projections.

**Resource Planning**:Work with production managers to identify and quantify the necessary resources for each project.
Create production schedules and timelines based on resource availability and project deadlines.

**Vendor and Supplier Coordination**:Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate and up-to-date pricing information for materials and components.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.

**Risk Assessment**:Identify potential risks and challenges associated with each project.
Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen issues that may impact production timelines or costs.

**Documentation**:Maintain comprehensive and organized records of all cost estimates, project specifications, and related documentation.
Provide regular updates to management regarding project progress, costs, and any deviations from initial estimates.

**Collaboration**:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and procurement, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

**Continuous Improvement**:Analyze and evaluate the accuracy of previous estimates and make recommendations for improvements.
Stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and technological advancements to enhance the precision of estimates.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in production estimation within the furniture manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and cost factors.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Familiarity with CAD software for interpreting design blueprints.
- Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
- Knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly manufacturing practices in the furniture industry.

**Salary**: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
