Construction Estimator Job description

As a Construction Estimator, your main responsibility will be to estimate the work of particular projects by gathering proposals, reading and understanding drawings, quantity take off, cost analysis, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
- Explore and study documentation and drawings in order to gain a deep understanding of the project requirements
- Estimate the cost of materials, labour, and equipment for construction projects, using government schedule of rates, contract bids, quotations, drawings and specifications
- Prepare detailed estimates and tender documents and specifications at different levels of completion
- Keep track of the project's costs and budget by working with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors.
- Resolve cost differences by analysing and collecting info which include checking contractor bills based on tender specifications
- Navigate and understand building codes and government schedule of rates
- Visit sites where necessary to do the project estimate
- Create and present reports to upper management or client
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with the key vendors
- Monitor construction processes and stay up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction
- Develop accurate estimates and schedules utilizing available tools, industry and estimating best practices

Construction Estimator requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a similar field is required
- At least 1-2 years of related experience is required
- Hands-on experience with data research activities
- Familiarity with computer programs such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and Project Management and Project Scheduling Software
- Good time-management skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
