**Essential Qualifications**:

- **Medical Degree (MBBS)**:

- From a recognized university in India
- **Postgraduate Qualification**:

- **MS (General Surgery)** — Mandatory.
- Followed by **MCh (Cardiothoracic Surgery)** or **DNB (Cardiothoracic Surgery)** — Mandatory.
- **Medical Council Registration**:

- Valid registration with the State Medical Council or Medical Council of India (MCI/NMC).
- **Preferred Experience**:

- **0-3 years** post-MCh/DNB experience (freshers can be considered if highly skilled, but some hands-on surgical experience is preferable).
- Exposure to **adult and pediatric** cardiac surgeries is an advantage.
- Assisted or independently handled basic procedures like:

- Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
- Valve repair/replacement
- Thoracic trauma management
- Aortic surgeries (basic exposure)
- Experience in **ICU post-operative care** of cardiac surgery patients.
- Familiarity with **mínimally invasive techniques** is a plus.
- **Skills and Attributes**:

- Strong surgical skills with steady hands.
- Good decision-making under pressure.
- Willingness to work in a high-volume, team-based environment.
- Clear communication skills (important for ICU team coordination).
- Research inclination (desirable if your hospital is involved in clinical studies).
- Ethical practice and compassionate approach towards patients.
