Junior Agile Coach

The Jr. Agile Coach is critical to the success of Entrata’s Research and Development (R&D) department and is primarily responsible for elevating the performance of Entrata’s software development teams using Agile and Lean practices and systems thinking. This role reports directly to the Sr. Director of Organizational Effectiveness and has a broad range of responsibilities including building a highly collaborative learning organization by empowering teams and leadership to adopt the mindset and techniques needed to build high-performance teams and to meet business outcomes. This role will teach, train and mentor other Scrum Masters, as well as provide individual team coaching to uplevel the maturity and health of teams. The Agile Coach may function as a short-term dedicated Scrum Master for teams as needed and will help showcase the value of the Scrum Master to the organization to support expanding the Scrum Master program.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Function as a dedicated Scrum Master to one or two teams, and provide targeted intervention to other teams as needed
- Help Scrum teams focus on metrics, product outcomes, sprint goals and the definition of done
- Support teams in holding effective timeboxed Scrum events that foster a culture of respect, focus, courage, openness, and commitment
- Coach and train teams on understanding and implementing agile practices that will increase agility, speed and quality
- Champion the perspective of those close to the work, and partner with employees and leadership to co-create and provide needed improvements to the work environment
- Implement lean and agile concepts at the team and program level such as eliminating dependencies, reducing cycle times, limiting work in progress, working in small batches, focusing on short feedback loops, identifying bottlenecks, making waste and inefficiencies visible, encouraging globalized thinking, and focusing on end-to-end flow of work/value streams
- Lead a Scrum Master guild to guide, mentor, and train other Scrum Masters
- Participate in the design of a scalable agile vision and strategy

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Expert knowledge of Agile theory, Lean Software Development, Kanban, eXtreme Programming and Scrum
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across teams and functions
- Excellent skills in mentoring, coaching, facilitating, listening, conflict management, and providing feedback
- Experience using industry standard work management tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Excellent in product management practices and Agile planning, estimation, and forecasting
- 5+ yrs. of related experience as a Scrum Master/Agile coach
- Experience building high-performing teams and improving team capabilities, health, happiness and maturity

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certified Scrum Master or Agile Coach
