State Street IMS is responsible for outsource service provision through leading edge technology and services for its clients. SSC has demonstrated excellent success in recent times with major client wins covering in excess of 10 locations worldwide, including UK, Europe, India and USA, for the outsource arrangements of Fund Accounting and Investment Operations.
The members of the Cash Administration / Synthetic FX team will monitor assigned accounts for issues associated with cash, settlements, ad-hoc processing, reporting and pre/post cycle reviews. They will be responsible to produce results of daily accounts review and are expected to work with little to no oversight, identify and resolve trends and educate and train staff on new issues once appropriate research has been completed.
Role specifics
- Run the process for monitoring Synthetic and real FXs and make sure the process runs smoothly; Synthetic FXs are reversed when the real FX hits the account
- Interact with custodian to make sure MT300 is posted where missing
- Monitor Failed FXs and complete Failed FX SI report to client
- Monitor and control the stale cash balance exception reporting for clients
- Using provided tools, review assigned accounts for issues associated with cash (Overdrafts, reconciliation), positions (trades, other)
- Run the daily cash projection process ensuring that client receives daily reports accurately and in line with agreed SLA timings.
- Monitor the daily CDCM processing through the EMEA coverage hours ensuring all transactions flow in line with procedures and escalating and issues for resolution.
- Identify data or accounts trends for discussion in group meetings.
- Build cooperative and professional internal/external relationships achieving group and client goals.
Utilize all available resources throughout SSC.
- Cover various management functions and desk coverage when necessary.
- Interact with clients and be prepared for all meetings
- Prepare oversight reports for audit where applicable.
- Take ownership of issues to resolution, engage teams as needed to gain consensus.
- Manage staff to meet goals if applicable.
- Track work effort and goals. Escalate timing issues.

Authorisation and Escalation:
- The functionally specific VP/AVP/Officer Information Services India may delegate responsibility for functional processes to the respective Senior Associate, Associate 1 or 2 within Information Services India, Business Operations India in order to complete all daily tasks.
- Significant matters will be escalated to through the team AVP / Officer to senior management, the GS UKMEA SMC, relevant functional heads, the IMS ORCF and to legal entity boards as appropriate.
Level of Education/ Qualifications:
Degree and 3-5 years asset management operational experience.
Skills and Experience
Excellent analytical skills. Good time management, organizational and team working skills. Strong communication skills to audiences of different levels of seniority. PC literate: Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
Required Competencies:
Must be self-motivated, adaptable and show initiative in different circumstances and under pressure. Flexibility in working outside of your responsibilities and areas of expertise. Other: Flexible working hours may be required.
