Job summary RBS Tech is developing an automated solution - Sherlock - to ‘Walk the Store’ (WTS) in a scalable fashion. Sherlock uses Deep Learning algorithms to search across Amazon’s selection, looking for products that might have errors and that may disrupt customers’ shopping experiences. The suspect items are reviewed for validation and fixed, in the process helping the machine to learn to predict such defects with higher precision. Sherlock platform is a highly scalable platform to ingest various product signals, process the ASIN and run defect audits on those rules. The team also owns a self-service rules engine and enumeration service, which is used by our business teams to create the defect identification rules. In 2020, Sherlock team audited over 1.1 Billion ASINs over 12 months. As a SDE with Sherlock team, you will work with talented peers of SDEs and Applied scientists to build robust engineering platforms to solve high impact issues. Your work will directly impact our customer experience, save millions in concessions. You will constantly stretch the boundaries of innovation to tackle the business challenges. If you are customer obsessed, self-driven, tenacious and analytical individual with a basic understanding of machine learning, you will have fun solving our business problems of unprecedented scale.
- MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
- Deep knowledge of Distributed SOA Architecture, Relational DB knowledge, ElasticSearch, DynamoDB, and various AWS technologies.
- High coding skills and knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired.
