Career Level - IC4

Mandatory Skills:

- Should have 8+ years of experience in Oracle SQL query tuning expertise.
- Strong expertise in writing and understanding of Oracle SQL/PLSQL
- Functional knowledge of Oracle Fusion Middleware products, Weblogic & Database products.
- Interpreting explain plans and able to read AWRs and ASH for identifying SQL query bottle necks.
- Ability to interpret explain plans for access path, predicate filtering and high knowledge of joins and orders in table access.
- Advanced knowledge of SQLHC, parallel query knowledge. Should have rich experience in factored / scalar sub-queries and ability to utilise them in sql queries.
- Strong decision making, convincing skills to bring down the complex discussions to closure supported by right arguments and facts.
- Understanding of database initialization parameters, logs and traces.
- Experience working on complex software development/integration projects
- Experience in scripting tool like Unix shell, Python, Perl
- Optional hands on troubleshooting Oracle OTBI & BIP report issues and performance related techniques on components like Data models/sets, LOV, parameters, bursting, FF, scheduling.

Good to Have Skills:

- Understanding of AI and Machine learning will be an added advantage.
- Oracle SQL performance diagnostic tools like SQLHC
- Experience in using monitoring tools like OEM.
- Building synthetic test cases.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Early Adopter of Innovation**:Explore and adopt new technologies like Oracle 23ai, Autonomous DB, Auto indexing, AI related tools.
- **Analysis and Optimize Oracle BIP Reports**:Should be able to help customer to identify performance issues with Oracle BIP reports functionality and sql queries involved with them.
- Optional knowledge of various components of BIP reports like Data models, Parameters, LOVs, Flex Fields, Bursting. Should be able to advise customers to use right sql queries as per Oracle best practices and which aids in completing the report optimally.
- **OTBI and BIP reports**:Knowledge of troubleshooting OTBI reports for advising customers to use performance enhancing configuration parameters.
