Dance Teacher

Aves Art Café is a dynamic and innovative space where art, culture, and education intersect. In addition to our vibrant café environment, we offer a range of creative workshops, including dance, music, and art. We are looking for a passionate and skilled **Hip Hop Dance Teacher** to join our team and help students develop their dance skills, creativity, and confidence.

**Responsibilities**:

- Teach **hip hop dance classes** to students of various ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced dancers.
- Develop fun, engaging, and dynamic lesson plans that focus on hip hop techniques, choreography, freestyle, and performance skills.
- Incorporate elements of breakdancing, popping, locking, and other street dance styles into the curriculum.
- Provide personalized attention to students, ensuring each learner develops their own unique style and gains confidence on the dance floor.
- Prepare students for performances, recitals, and competitions while encouraging self-expression and creativity.
- Organize and participate in dance showcases, workshops, and events at the café to promote the students' talent and the café’s vibrant culture.
- Create a positive and energetic environment where students feel motivated to improve their dance skills.
- Offer both group and private dance lessons, depending on the student's needs and preferences.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.

**Qualifications**:

- Professional experience as a **Hip Hop Dancer** and instructor, with a strong command of hip hop dance styles and techniques.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience teaching dance to students of all age groups.
- Ability to develop choreography for different skill levels and organize dance routines for performances.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for teaching and inspiring students.
- Knowledge of dance theory, including rhythm, body movement, and musicality, and how to convey these concepts to students.
- Experience preparing students for dance competitions, performances, or public showcases.
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters creativity and discipline.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Familiarity with a variety of hip hop substyles, including breakdancing, street dance, and freestyle.
- Knowledge of other dance forms is a plus (e.g., contemporary, jazz, etc.).
- Experience teaching workshops or participating in dance battles and events.
- Ability to work with diverse student groups, adapting to different learning styles and needs.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan lessons and track student progress.
- Enthusiasm for participating in community events, live performances, and collaboration with other artists and teachers.
